Natasha Perez
Chief of Staff

Natasha graduated from Amherst High School, earned a BA in Political Science from UMass Boston, and a MS in Project Management at Boston University. She worked as Political Director for AARP Northeast, Chief of Staff at Green Works in Cambridge, and Deputy Director for the Massachusetts Democratic Party. As Director of Development and Public Relations for Gravistar, she worked on the development of Assembly Square in Somerville during the early stages of that project. Most recently, Natasha headed her own political communication and strategic planning consulting firm where she worked with Citizens Energy, the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare, and Jeff McCormick’s gubernatorial campaign, among others.

Rosalie Adams DeCosta
Deputy Chief of Staff

Rose joined Team Rosenberg in 2008 as Legislative Director and was Chief of Staff from 2010-2014. She resides in Plymouth, MA and holds a BA in Management and Political Science from Simmons College. Rose manages the administrative operations of the Senate President’s office and over the years has worked on various policy matters including municipal relief, the state budget, and expanded gaming.

Joseph Beebe
Legislative Aide
Joe grew up in Harvard, MA and attended Boston University, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in History. After working on several statewide campaigns and in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, he joined Team Rosenberg in 2016. Joe focuses on providing operations and scheduling support to the office.

Molly Cahill
Legislative Aide

Molly was born and raised in Dorchester, and still resides there. She attended Fontbonne Academy in Milton, and received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of New Hampshire in Communications with a Minor in Kinesiology, focusing on sports studies. Previously, Molly worked at State Street and for the Boston Red Sox. Molly is focused on managing the Senate President’s busy schedule, both in and out of the office, and planning events for the Senate President.

Mark Dailey
Policy Advisor

Mark is a native of Quincy and graduate of Boston College High School and Temple University. Prior to joining the team in 2010, he spent 5 years as an English teacher and worked on several local, state and federal campaigns. Mark works on various policy matters and in particular the areas of higher education, corrections reform, and pharmaceutical cost containment. Mark also serves as the staff contact for Senator Rosenberg’s committee assignments, the Joint Committee on Rules and the Senate Committee on Ethics and Rules.

James DiTullio
Counsel and Chief Policy Advisor

Jim joins Team Rosenberg after serving as Undersecretary and General Counsel for the Executive Office of Education under Governor Deval Patrick.  Jim grew up in Saugus, MA and graduated from Saugus High School before receiving degrees from Yale University, the University of Cambridge (UK), and the University of Virginia School of Law.  Prior to joining the Patrick Administration in 2011, Jim clerked for U.S. District Court Judge Nathaniel Gorton in the District of Massachusetts, and later he worked as an attorney at the Boston law firm of Choate, Hall & Stewart.  Jim has served as an elected member of the Democratic State Committee since 2008.  In 2012, he was a United States Presidential Elector for Massachusetts.  As a member of the team, Jim provides counsel on legal and policy matters to the Senator and his staff.

Mara Dolan
Communications Director

Mara is an attorney who served as Co-Chair of the Policy Committee of the Massachusetts Democratic State Committee, appeared regularly on local television and radio as a political commentator, and produced and hosted her own talk show on politics and policy. She worked as a public defender for children and adults in Lawrence, Massachusetts, as a higher education consultant, and later as an employment attorney.  She earned her B.A. in English from the University of Rhode Island, attended Boston College School of Social Work, and earned her J.D. from the Massachusetts School of Law.

Anna Freedman
Fiscal Policy Advisor

Anna joined Team Rosenberg from the Executive Office for Administration and Finance (A&F) where she served as Assistant Budget Director, and handled areas of the state budget related to Health and Human Services and Housing and Economic Development. Previously, she served as a Fiscal Policy Analyst for A&F. Anna was a Performance Management Fellow at the Edward J. Collins Jr. Center for Public Management at UMass Boston. Anna has a Master’s of Public Administration from Suffolk University and a BA in Political Science from Hartwick College.

Stephen Maher
Senior Legislative Aide

Steve grew up in Plymouth and is a graduate of Westfield State College. After graduating with his bachelor’s degree in political science, Steve worked on several national and statewide campaigns with various groups. Most recently Steve worked for Senate President Therese Murray as her Senior Legislative Aide until she left office in January, 2015. Currently, Steve handles constituent services for Senate President Rosenberg and works on policy and legislation dealing with Affordable Housing, Homelessness, Environment and Climate Change.

Megan Montgomery
New Media Manager

As a former journalist and driven media professional with years of public affairs experience at the local, state and federal level, Meg joins Team Rosenberg after serving as Communications Director for Senator Jamie Eldridge. Previously, Meg served as Chief of Staff in the Office of Cambridge City Councillor Leland Cheung and as Communications Director for Cheung’s 2011 re-election campaign. She served as a Press Assistant for Lieutenant Governor Tim Murray’s re-election campaign in 2010. She is also a former news correspondent for the Worcester Telegram & Gazette. Meg is a native of Worcester and received her Bachelor’s degree in English and Journalism at Worcester State University. In her spare time, Meg practices yoga, takes in the sights around her neighborhood in Beacon Hill and is currently gearing up to train for her first half-marathon.

Suzanne Morson
Office Administrator

Suzanne was born and raised in Boston and earned a degree at Fisher College in 2004. Suzanne worked in human resources for several private businesses before beginning work in Senate President Therese Murray’s office 2007. She enjoys cooking, spending time with her daughter Olivia who is 6, and traveling when her schedule permits.

DJ Napolitano
External Affairs Liaison

DJ is an Assumption College alum who joins Team Rosenberg from Everett, where he was an elected city councilor before deciding against running for the city's new unicameral government. DJ was a field organizer in Steve Grossman’s successful 2010 bid for treasurer, later serving as director of constituent services for Congressman John Tierney and political director for Sal DiDomenico's successful 2010 run for State Senate. During Grossman’s 2014 campaign for governor, DJ served as his statewide political director.

Pete Wilson
Press Secretary

Pete received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Master’s degree from The George Washington University.  Pete has extensive political, government, nonprofit, and communications experience at the state, federal, and municipal level.  He has previously worked as the Legislative Director for the Massachusetts House Committee on Ways and Means, Vice President of Communications at the Liberty Square Group, and most recently as Communications Director for Jeff McCormick’s gubernatorial campaign.  In his free time he enjoys golf, cooking, and spending time with his family.  He lives in Kingston with his wife and son.

David Sullivan
Special Counsel

David joins Team Rosenberg after a distinguished legal career in state government that includes serving as general counsel for the Secretary of the Commonwealth, the State Ethics Commission, the Senate Ways and Means Committee, the Senate, and most recently the Executive Office for Administration and Finance. He has also served as an elected Cambridge City Councilor and a senior Democratic voter protection lawyer. A graduate of Harvard Law School and MIT, he and his family live in Cambridge. He provides legal and policy advice to the Senator and the entire team.

Northampton Office 

Mary Jane Bacon
District Staff

Mary Jane resides in Amherst and began working for Senator Rosenberg in 1991 and is a graduate of the former Saint Michael’s High School in Northampton, the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and Western New England University School of Law.  She attends events and meetings in Western MA., liaises with municipalities on local economic development and transportation, and works on policy related to those issues.

Tom Mitchell
District Staff

Tom, a resident of Northampton, joined Team Rosenberg in 1993. He holds Bachelor's degrees in English and Philosophy from Drury University and a Master's degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Journalism. Tom is primarily responsible for writing speeches, local media communications, the Rosenberg Report, and for organizing Senator Rosenberg’s Annual Municipal Conference in Northampton.
